Being welcomed into a family's home during their first few weeks with a new baby is a wonderful honor as a photographer. These emotional, exhausting, joyful days of newness are so fleeting and something you always want to remember. A newborn photo session is a special way to document your little one's introduction to the world and your growing family as you embrace this new dynamic.
I had the opportunity to photograph two year old Felicity back in February during my Valentine's Day mini sessions, and I was thrilled to be able to see her take on her new role as big sister to Cara with such joy and enthusiasm. Toddlers with new baby siblings can sometimes be less than eager to cooperate during newborn sessions, but Felicity would have kissed and snuggled her baby sister all day long. I have a feeling these two sisters are going to become the best of friends. Congratulations to this sweet new family of four!
