We recently returned from a vacation to visit friends and family in Florida. Our first stop was a visit to one of our most favorite places with one of our most favorite families. My husband and I were married at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island seven years ago, and we love returning to this laidback, beautiful, family-friendly resort now with our own family.
When your best friend lives across the country, it can be nearly impossible to align your two families' schedules to squeeze in a joint vacation, so our time together in Amelia Island was very precious. We made the most of our six days together building sandcastles, soaking up the sun, and reminiscing over delicious meals that we did not have to clean up. Having the opportunity to photograph Abi's beautiful family on the beach was the icing on the cake.
